Track and Field legend Usain Bolt recently did a two hour long interview with The Fix Podcast on Youtube, where he finally breaks his silence on being robbed over USD$12.7 Million approximately JMD$2 Billion, by Jamaican investment firm Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) in 2023.
In the interview the Track n Field star shared that he was hurt deeply when a member of his team told him that he got robbed by the investment firm.
WHEN HE FOUND OUT
“After I found out what happened I started to rethink a lot of stuffs. I thought I was one of those person’s who are on top of the food chain in Jamaica.
I don’t know how to feel when I found out what happened. A close member of my team called while I was getting my feet done at the nail salon. When he told me what happened, I had to get up and go outside to how I was feeling, Bolt said”.
ARE THEY DOING ENOUGH TO HELP?
“This happen two years ago and mi cyaa see back a dime. There have been conversations between me and people of high status, but its going no where. I don’t think they are doing enough, if they were doing enough the case would have reached to another level already, its been two whole years.
A lot of persons at the investment firm are involved in this not just one, he said”.
WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING TO DO, ARE YOU GOING TO SUE?
“There’s a lot of things floating around in my mind since it happen. At one point something has to get done because I can’t just loose my hard earned money just like that. “WUL HEAP A RUNNING HOURS DAT”.
My lawyer is on the case, communication is taking place but the matter has been not escalated. It’s literally not going anywhere, so at one point I’m going to speak out even more and take this matter even more serious.
I might take it international and speak to multiple media outlets overseas.
It’s going to hurt Brand Jamaica when I start speaking about the matter more. I have been trying my best to avoid speaking about it internationally but they are forcing me to do so at this point.
If I don’t started applying some pressure and make some serious questions starting to get asked, it look as if I wont get back anything, said bolt”.
