It’s reported that a taxi operator was shot dead last night in the vicinity of Red Hills Road, St Andrew.
The man has only been identified as Dale.
According to the Corporate Communications Unit of Jamaica Constabulary Force, around 10:20 pm Dale was sitting in his taxi, in the vicinity of Grace Reformed Baptist Church and the Sandy Gully bridge, when he was pounced upon by an armed man travelling on foot.
The gunman opened fire on Dale, hitting him multiple times in his upper body.
He was pronounced dead on the spot.
Just two weeks ago a taxi operator, 29-year-old Lashawn Heslop was gunned down inside his taxi at the exact same spot.
Police are currently doing their investigation.
