Four men died as a result of injuries they sustained in a car crash along the Rio Nuevo main road in St Mary on Saturday morning.
According to preliminary reports, about 6:40 a.m four men inside a white C200 Mercedes Benz were heading towards Ocho Rios when the driver failed to negotiate a right turn resulting in the car crashing into a gully.
All four occupants were transported to the Port Maria Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The deceased men has been identified as, Kenroy Fung, Brandon Nelson, Romario Grey and the driver of the vehicle Chad Beckford.
Driver error and speed are the cause of the crash, said a police officer.
Today’s fatal crash came one week after four persons lost their lives in a two vehicle crash along the PJ Patterson Highway in St Catherine. One of the vehicles involved in the fatal crash was also a Mercedes Benz.
