The Jamaican police have an outstanding warrant for the arrest of dancehall superstar Mavado. The warrant is still active, a police officer and his attorney said.
The dancehall artiste whose real name is David Brooks, is wanted for assault occasioning actual bodily harm arising from an incident in 2018, Deputy Superintendent Randy Sweeney, head of the St Andrew North police, confirmed.
Further details of the alleged assault are not yet known.
According to Senior-Smith, the warrant on the entertainer is based on a complaint by Anthony Goulbourne.
Mavado son, Dante Brooks was release on March 7 after the Court Of Appeal overturned his conviction on Friday, for the 2018 murder of Lorenzo Thomas.
