Detectives were, up to early Friday morning, still processing the scene of a double murder in New Forest, Manchester, where a father and his son were killed.
According to a police source, the two men were attacked near their home around midnight. Reports indicate that their hands were bound before they were fatally shot. One of the victims has so far been identified only by his stage name, Fido.
Investigators have not yet determined a motive for the killings.
Police statistics show that as of Sunday, May 31, a total of 14 murders had been recorded in Manchester, compared to eight during the same period last year. This latest incident brings the parish’s murder tally to 16 since the start of the year.
