A body believed to be that of missing pharmacy technician Kedecia McLeod has reportedly been discovered in Pepper District, St Elizabeth.
According to reports, around 9:15 a.m., a farmer on his way to tend to his land stumbled upon the body and immediately alerted the authorities.
A video circulating on social media shows the body of a woman lying along a roadway. She is dressed in a white blouse, grey sweater, khaki pants, and white slippers, an outfit matching the description previously provided by police.
The deceased has since been identified as 40-year-old Kedecia McLeod, who was reported missing on Tuesday, June 9. Police had earlier described her as being of fair complexion and slim build.
Information shared on a missing person poster indicated that McLeod was last seen about 1:11 p.m. on Caledonia Road in Mandeville, Manchester. It was also reported that she entered a red Honda Fit with burgundy trim around the headlights.
A vehicle was later found abandoned in the area.
Law enforcement have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
