It’s reported that a well known pastor was gunned down in Old Harbour town center on Saturday night. According to police reports sometime after 8pm he was pounced upon by unknown assailants  nearby Lincoln Plaza and shot in the head. Three children have died as a result of a house fire in Walkerwood, St Ann on early Sunday morning. Preliminary reports are that an elderly woman and a child survived the blaze. While the details are still unclear, it is understood that the woman woke up to fire coming from a room that was occupied by the three victims, who are said to have been her grandchildren. A body which was found near the Devon Pen main road in St Mary on Sunday has been identified. She is 16-year-old Jadene Gayle, her mother has confirmed. Meanwhile, an adult closely associated with the teenager has been taken into police custody for questioning. Up to late Tuesday, a house in Mountain View, St Andrew belonging to the man was being processed by cops as investigations continued into the teen’s death. The New Years day turned deadly for 37-year-old Odaine Lewis, who was gunned down at his home in Coxheath Runaway Bay, St. Ann this morning, marking the parish’s first murder. A man was shot dead after disrupting a burial at the Dovecot Memorial Park in St Catherine on Monday. The man, believed to be of an unsound mind, has since been identified as 23-year-old Isaac Foster from Penny Piece District in Kitson Town, St Catherine. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media. Reports are that around 2:15 pm, the burial was in progress at the cemetery when Foster appeared and disrupted the proceedings. The Independent Commission of Investigations is probing the fatal shooting of a female sex worker by a police officer in St James this morning.  The shooting happened shortly before 7 at the Old Shoes Market, downtown Montego Bay.  It’s reported that the woman was chasing a man with a knife because he refused to pay for her services. A police man who was close by, saw and ordered her to desist from chasing the man.  She reportedly disobeyed and continued her pursuit, as a result of which the officer shot her.  She died at the scene.
