Police are currently at the scene of a homicide in Three Chains, Manchester, where a 27-year-old soldier is suspected of killing his 29-year-old partner on Friday.
The victim has been identified as Tanzanya Dunkley. According to residents, screams were heard shortly after 3:00 p.m., followed by sightings of a man fleeing the house.
Reports indicate that the couple had been involved in an argument, during which the woman reportedly expressed her intention to end the relationship.

During the dispute, the man allegedly took her phone, leading to a struggle between them. Investigators say the suspect later claimed he was influenced by a voice telling him to commit the act. He is accused of using a knife to fatally injure Dunkley.
Police also revealed that moments before the incident, the suspect instructed Dunkley’s 12-year-old daughter to go upstairs.
Sources say the man has already been questioned by detectives and reportedly confessed. He is expected to be formally charged with murder either later today or early this week.
Authorities note that Manchester has seen repeated incidents of domestic violence over the years. Due to the increasing severity of such cases, police have been advocating for the establishment of a dedicated domestic violence intervention centre in the parish.
