Three people were shot, two fatally, in separate incidents in Alexandria and St. Ann’s Bay, St. Ann.
One of the deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Kemar Brown, otherwise known as “Mars,” of Alexandria. Brown was killed in the latest shooting in his community.
According to reports, about 9:54 p.m., Brown and a woman were leaving a business establishment when they were confronted by an armed man who demanded money. When the demand was not met, the gunman opened fire, hitting both individuals.
They were rushed to hospital, where Brown was pronounced dead. The woman was admitted and is being treated for her injuries.
Earlier, at about 9:15 p.m., another man was shot along Wharf Street in St. Ann’s Bay. Residents reportedly heard gunshots and alerted the police. Upon their arrival, the man was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been established.
The police are investigating both incidents.
