A 19-year-old man accused of brutally attacking his family, killing one brother and injuring two others has been taken into police custody following a domestic dispute in Stephenson Town near Southfield, St Elizabeth, early Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Travis Williams, a labourer from Seaview in the parish. According to police reports, the incident occurred shortly before 1:00 a.m., when the suspect allegedly used a sharp weapon to inflict chop wounds on his two brothers and their mother inside their home.
Williams sustained multiple severe injuries across his body and was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, his 14-year-old sibling and 43-year-old mother were rushed to hospital in critical condition.
Authorities confirmed that the 19-year-old suspect was later apprehended and remains in police custody as investigations continue.
