A taxi driver and his passenger were shot and killed on Wednesday afternoon near Mammee Bay in St Ann.
The deadly shooting incident occurred shortly after 1:00 p.m.
Reports indicate that the two men were traveling in a Toyota Probox when they were ambushed by another man who was reportedly posing as a passenger in the vehicle.
Police from the St Ann division are currently on the scene conducting investigations. As a result of the incident, traffic along the Drax Hall to Mammee Bay main road has come to a halt.
Motorists are being redirected through an alternative route via Steer Town.
