Investigators assigned to the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) are appealing for the woman seen in a viral video physically abusing a child, believed to be her daughter, to report to the police immediately.
In a statement Wednesday night, the Corporate Communications Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force said CISOCA has taken note of the video being circulated on social media.
In the 14-second clip, the girl was seen on the floor crying while her alleged stepmother proceeds to kick and stomp on her head and neck.
It’s alleged that the stepmother found some “ranchy” text messages with her and another school girl in her cell phone.
The stepmother was heard saying “weh yuh wah tun, weh yuh wah tun” while stomping in her daughter neck.
Anyone with information that can assist the police with their investigation is being asked to contact CISOCA at 876-926-4079, Crime Stop at 311, the 119 police emergency number or the nearest police station.
