Five people, including three children, were rushed to hospital on Wednesday morning following a six-vehicle crash along the Bridgeport main road in Portmore, St Catherine.
According to reports, the incident occurred about 7:00 a.m. when a Toyota Townace travelling east attempted to overtake a line of traffic. During the manoeuvre, the vehicle collided with the front-right section of a BMW that was also heading in the same direction and in the process of making a right turn.
The force of the impact caused the Toyota Townace, which was carrying three children, to overturn on the roadway. Five individuals are understood to have sustained serious injuries and were transported to hospital for treatment.
