A female police officer is currently being treated at hospital after she was struck by a taxi operator on Friday afternoon at the intersection of Hope Road and Lady Musgrave Road in St Andrew.
Reports indicate that the incident happened sometime after 5:00 p.m. The Constabulary Communications Network (CCN), the communications arm of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, confirmed that the officer was admitted to hospital and is receiving medical care.
However, details regarding the severity of her injuries have not been disclosed.
It remains unclear whether the taxi driver involved has been taken into custody or formally charged in relation to the incident.
