A 26-year-old man is in police custody following the brutal killing of three relatives in Rocky Point, Clarendon, on Thursday night.
The incident occurred in the Frazersfield area of the community. The victims have been identified as Annette Lindo, a domestic helper and vendor; her 32-year-old son, Lynval Henry, a fisherman; and Ingrid Keisha Lindo, a vendor of West End, Rocky Point.
Reports indicate that the suspect, who is related to all three victims, allegedly confessed to the killings and was found seated at the scene when the police arrived.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said it was alerted to the incident at approximately 9:10 p.m. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered the three individuals suffering from chop wounds. They were later pronounced dead at the scene.
Police investigators remain at the location with the suspect as they continue to search for items of evidential value. The JCF has launched a full investigation and is continuing enquiries to determine the sequence of events that led to the tragic deaths.
