A contractor working with the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) has died following a fall from a ladder while on duty in Trelawny on Monday afternoon. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear.
The deceased has been identified as 66-year-old Courtney Robinson of Mandeville, Manchester.
Residents reported that at about 4:00 p.m., Robinson was carrying out work in the Butt Up Town area of Albert Town, in the southern section of the parish, when he fell from a ladder and suffered severe head injuries.
He was later pronounced dead. The Constabulary Communications Network (CCN) has confirmed the incident but said further details were not immediately available.
