Two men linked to Saturday night’s deadly gun attack on a policeman and his family in St James were killed during alleged confrontations with security forces on Monday morning.
One of the deceased has been identified as Andre Reid, otherwise known as “Likkle Zullu,” reputed leader of the Top Junglist/Katan Defence Force (KDF) Gang, which operates out of Catherine Mountain, St James.
According to reports, around 5 a.m., police launched an intelligence-led operation in Shooters Hill, St Andrew. During the operation, officers reportedly came under gunfire from Reid. Lawmen returned fire, hitting Reid, who was later pronounced dead at the Kingston Public Hospital. An AK-47 assault rifle, fitted with a magazine containing five rounds, was seized at the scene.
The other suspect, has been identified as Lindel Gray, otherwise called ‘Frass’ or ‘Sassa Frass’ of a St. James address. He was reportedly killed during a police operation in the parish.
Investigators believe Reid masterminded the brazen gun attack in Reading, St James, which left the policeman assigned to the Lottery Scam Task Force critically injured, and claimed the lives of his wife, 36-year-old Latoya Stephenson, and their five-year-old son, Zamir Morgan.
Police say efforts are ongoing to capture all other individuals connected to the attack.
