Police are treating the deaths of a husband and wife in Harbour View, Kingston, as a suspected case of murder-suicide.
The deceased have been identified as 53-year-old paralegal Morvine Thompson Palmer and her husband, 49-year-old Mason Peat Palmer, both of Dorado Drive.
According to reports, the incident is believed to have occurred between approximately 3:30 p.m. on Sunday and 10:30 a.m. on Monday at their residence. Residents in the community said they heard the couple arguing on Sunday afternoon.
Concerned relatives contacted the police after repeated attempts to reach the couple were unsuccessful. Lawmen later visited the premises and discovered both bodies outside the house.
Mrs. Palmer was found lying on her back with what appeared to be a wound to her neck, from which blood was observed. Mr. Palmer was found face down beside her, reportedly clutching several raw electrical wires.
Both individuals were transported to the Kingston Public Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted as investigations continue.
