A decomposed body, believed to be that of missing Christiana High student 13-year-old Santina Sergeant, was discovered on Monday evening in a burnt-out refrigerator behind her family home in Baillieston, Clarendon, according to police reports.
Police say Santina, who lived on Riverside Drive in the community, was reported missing by her father on Friday, October 3. A search team from the Christiana Police Station launched an operation on Monday, October 6, which led to the grim discovery.
During the search, officers reportedly found a body in an advanced state of decomposition, hidden in bushes behind a house, partially covered with zinc near the burnt-out refrigerator.
