In the high energy world of Jamaican dancehall, where drama and music often go hand in hand, a heated controversy has taken a surprising turn. What began as a shocking accusation has now shifted into an emotional apology.
The mother of emerging dancehall artiste Bad Skylaa has officially issued a public apology to Stalk Ashley following claims she previously made in a viral video. This comes after legal representatives for Stalk Ashley reportedly sent a defamation of character letter warning of legal action if the false statements were not retracted.
In her original video, Skylaa’s mother had accused Stalk Ashley and her team of drugging and taking advantage of her 19-year-old daughter under the guise of helping her music career. The story quickly gained traction, with many in the dancehall community expressing shock, sympathy, and outrage.
“Mi want apologize to Stalk Ashley and her team for the things mi seh. Mi did emotional and confused, and mi react outta pain and fear for mi daughter. Mi never have no proof fi the things mi claim, and mi shoulda think before mi talk publicly.”
She continued, explaining that her daughter is going through a difficult time emotionally and mentally, but the details she shared were based on assumptions and hearsay rather than verified facts.
The apology comes amid growing conversations about the dangers of online accusations and the responsibility individuals have when using public platforms.
Stalk Ashley, who had remained silent on social media since the allegations surfaced, is reportedly reviewing the apology with her legal team. There has been no official statement from her as yet.
