A disturbing video currently making rounds on social media appears to show a Rasta man engaging in indecent behaviour aboard a bus operated by the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC).
The incident reportedly occurred while the bus was travelling in the Cross Roads area of St Andrew, though the exact date has not been confirmed.
In the one minute clip, the man dressed in a pink and white T-shirt and brown pants was seen seated near the rear of the bus, where he allegedly began engaging in inappropriate conduct. A female student was seated nearby at the back of the vehicle during the incident.
The man was observed holding a backpack on his lap, seemingly attempting to conceal his actions from other passengers. At one point, another commuter seated in front of him turns around, prompting him to briefly try to hide what he was doing.
Reports indicate that the behaviour continued until another passenger moved toward the rear section of the bus.
The individual who captured the video is a female student who was seated nearby. It is understood that JUTC was previously unaware of the incident.
A senior official from the company has stated that the matter should be reported to the police, adding that JUTC is prepared to fully cooperate with any investigation.
Members of the public are being encouraged to come forward with any information that could assist in identifying the man.
