A disturbing incident involving a student is currently circulating across social media, drawing widespread concern.
In the footage, a man believed to be a bus conductor is seen carrying out an apparent assault. The brief 10-second clip shows the individual repeatedly striking a female student from Queen’s School, who was seated by a window.
The alleged attacker, described as slim and dark-complexioned, is seen standing over the student. He appears to be dressed in a grey jacket over a yellow shirt, with a black-and-white handkerchief tied around his head.
The schoolgirl, who appears smaller in stature, is seen shielding her face while attempting to protect herself from the blows. At one point, another Queen’s School student standing nearby intervenes, striking the man in an effort to defend her school mate.
The man reportedly tries to lash out at the second student while continuing the assault on the initial victim.
Voices of other passengers can be heard in the background, some urging the girls to fight back, shouting “beat him,” while another repeatedly calls out “ductor.”
The video cuts off shortly after the attacker is pulled away from the student.
Efforts to get a comment from the St Andrew based institution were unsuccessful, as no representative was available at the time. Meanwhile, checks with the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Communication Unit indicate that no official report has been made regarding the incident.
