Popular Dancehall artiste ‘Skippa’ who’s real name is Tahjay Clark, was release from police custody on Saturday afternoon after he was listed as a person of interest by authorities on Wednesday February 5.
The entertainer turned his self in accompanied by his lawyer on Thursday. His management team confirm that he got detained.
Before he got detained he released a music video entitled, ‘1DB4L’. In the video he was paying tribute the slain Spanish Town Don Othneild ‘Thickman’ Lobban aka ‘1Daddy Badness’.
The music video features lyrics like:
“Dawg yuh know the badness cyaa end nothing nuh change, ah still Daddy Tawes Pen Capture Land, Backbush, the clip still bend. The whole common, uptown we ah still fi yuh children.
Mi sorry seh yuh couldn’t see it and dodge it. Mi stop cry, ah just the heat mi carry couldn’t wait fi turn it pon a jeep or lorry. seet deh mi wahh kill somebody”.
After the release of that song he was listed as a person of interest by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF). The entertainer along with nine other men wanted for question in ongoing investigations.
Thickman was also mention in another song titled, ‘Reminder’ which was released by the artiste 8 months ago.
Skippa is popularly known for his hit songs like, Bob Ponzi, Dark, Self belief and multiple others.
